SPEAKER FAQs

We invite anyone interested in becoming a speaker to complete the speaker submission form.  Please note that we strive to ensure that speakers are delivering meaningful and relevant content, free from self-promotion and pitches. In your application, please be sure to include the topics you can speak to and what you feel makes you uniquely qualified to speak on the subject.

Please note: INCOMPLETE speaker applications will not be considered.

**Sessions are on a first come basis to exhibiting and sponsoring companies.** Selected speakers for the conference will include both those who have been cannabis industry speakers at past events and those who have not, as well as those who come from a diverse range of geographic regions. We are looking specifically for content relevant to the cannabis industry and the consumers and patients located in the ALL markets. To be considered for a cannabis industry speaker role, complete the speaker application.

Presentations should be planned out to last between 30-35 minutes (depending on the topic and structure of the session), followed by 10 minutes Q&A from the audience. We will also assemble panel-style sessions and may ask that you alter your presentation to fit a different style.

Cannabis industry speakers MUST abide by a “no pitching” policy. Presentations are meant to be educational and informative. At the  end of sessions, speakers provide their business contact information for attendee follow-up for sales, support and consulting services.

Cannabis industry speakers who are selected must agree to follow specific guidelines on crafting their presentations and compiling PowerPoint presentations. CannaOne reserves the right of final approval on all content for speakers and may require revisions during the process.

Please note that CannaOne does not provide speaker stipends or travel reimbursements. This helps us keep ticket prices low and accessible to the broadest audience for the event and your session.

Submissions will not be accepted without a bio and headshot, so make sure you have them before starting the application. Your content session description should communicate the value that attendees will gain from listening to you. Remember our no-pitch policy and tell us what people will learn from you during your session.

The Speaker Application is the ONLY method we will use for considering cannabis industry speakers. If you have questions regarding the form send them to speak@CannaOne.com but please don’t call with speaker inquires/pitches.

As we make every effort to remain timely with our content and topics, we do not carry forward applications from event to another. If you have applied to participate in a specific event in the past but are interesting in being considered for an upcoming event, please submit a new application.

Each CannaOne event has a Speaker Application Deadline.

  • The 2025 Summer Show speaker application deadline is  January 15, 2025.

Again, thank you for submitting your application. All speakers are evaluated on their expertise and what topics they can speak to.  In addition, sessions are granted to companies who purchase a Booth package. If you have not done so, please complete your booth registration at www.CannaOne.com/exhibit.

Our speakers are determined through an internal process that involves our content, events and strategy teams. Each of these groups contributes to the development of programming themes, topics and suggested speakers. The speaker applications are then reviewed to identify speakers fit within the event programming focus for a specific event.

Speakers are evaluated on their expertise and what topics they can speak to.  In addition, sessions are granted to companies who purchase a Booth package. If you have not done so, please complete your booth registration at www.CannaOne.com/exhibit.

Applicants are notified of their application status within 10 – 15 business days of submission.
