PRESS REGISTRATION

If you are interested in attending as Press, please read the requirements below and submit the PRESS REGISTRATION form.

Our press policies have recently changed. On this page you will find a list of our new press categories, along with a brief description, qualification requirements and accepted titles.

Note: All qualifications must be submitted in full within 10 days of your application, otherwise the press credential may not be qualified. If you have not submitted your business proof before arriving on show site, plan to bring business proof as outlined below in Credentials for Registering On-Site.

The Las Vegas Summer Show reserves the right to refuse media badges, without cause, during pre-registration as well as onsite media registration.

Due to high demand, press badges are limited in number.

Who QUALIFIES for a Press Badge?

Classified as working journalists in print, broadcast and digital media for established trade or consumer publications, online or broadcast media outlets. This includes reporters, writers, editors, producers, photographers and camera crews.

Possible badge titles for this category: Press, Editor, Reporter, Writer, Anchor, Broadcast Producer, Host

Must have published or broadcast within the past 12 months on topics related to the natural and organic products industry and health. Please submit clips with your byline or a link to articles with your byline as part of the badge registration process. If on assignment, please include a letter of assignment from an approved publication. Freelancers must upload a LinkedIn profile. Contributed articles by business services professionals do not qualify as press credentials. Questions? Email PR at PR@CannaOne.com.

Possible badge titles for this category: Freelancer, Writer

Must have created new content within the past three months on topics related to the natural and organic products industry and health (product giveaways and contests do not qualify). Blogs will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis based on traffic, content relevance and quality, engagement on social media channels, frequency of posts, etc.

Bloggers will be asked to provide evidence from a data-tracking service (such as Google Analytics or Compete.com) that show unique visitors across blog or social media channels are at minimum 10,000-50,000 per month. Please upload links to blog and postings as part of the badge registration process. All criteria is taken into consideration for approval; unique visitor numbers and the number of followers on social media channels do not guarantee a badge if other criteria have not been met.*

Social media influencers (those who do not have a qualifying blog, but own and manage a social media account of 20,000 or more followers on at least one social network: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube) will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis based on content relevance and quality, follower counts, engagement on social media channels, frequency of posts, etc. Please upload links to relevant social media channel(s) and specific posts that exemplify how you consistently support the natural and organic products industry and better health. See “Who Does Not Qualify for a Press Badge?” below. All criteria is taken into consideration for approval; post engagement and the number of followers on social media channels do not guarantee a badge if other criteria have not been met.*

Classified as publishers, media execs, or media sales for an outlet that has relevance to the cannabis products and services. Proof of business and title, as well as a link to your LinkedIn profile are required. Press support crew should apply for a Press badge. Blogger or Social Media Influencer support staff need to be pre-approved. With approval, they can receive a Guest of the Show Badge ($199), or without approval, they can apply for an Exhibit Hall Pass ($599). Questions? Email PR at PR@CannaOne.com.

Who does NOT QUALIFY for a Press Badge?

  • Friends and family of journalists, bloggers or social media influencers – they should register for an Exhibit Hall Pass.
  • Film crews who are working for an exhibitor or are receiving fees as part of a marketing program – they should register as Exhibitor-Appointed Contractors.
  • Publishers, sales, marketing and advertising executives, and other non-editorial staff – they should register for a Media Services badge – see above.
  • Producers, editors or film crews for programs in which the exhibitor pays a fee to participate.
  • Public relations professionals (agency or company based). If working for an exhibitor, get an Exhibitor badge from your client.
  • Self-published writers or anyone who cannot demonstrate a link to a credible news outlet or proof of readership or viewership.
  • Public relations, advertising or marketing professionals (agency or company based) writing for a news outlet, their company website or personal blog.
  • Industry consultants.
  • Support staff for bloggers or social media influencers, including contributors, agents and agency representatives; approved support staff can receive a Guest of the Show Badge ($199); see Media Services description and email PR@CannaOne.com for approval. Non-approved support staff (family or friends) should register for an Exhibit Hall Pass.
  • Writers for company newsletters and websites.
  • Chefs or cookbook authors who are not working journalists – if applicable and you meet the requirements, register for a Food Service or Health Practitioner badge.

Credentials for Registering On-Site

Please present a business card from the media organization with your name and title. Badges from prior years or other events do not qualify in lieu of a business card. In addition, please provide the following:

  • Newspaper/magazine/wire service reporters or editors: A masthead or staff box from an established media outlet listing your name/title; clips bylined with your name or a link to bylined articles.
  • TV or radio station producers/reporters: Link to station website with video or audio clips.
  • Freelance writers & photographers: A letter of assignment from a publication or media outlet. If not on assignment, please provide a clip or link to a bylined article published within the last 12 months that is relevant to the natural and organic products industry.
  • Bloggers: All bloggers must be pre-approved prior to the 2024 Las Vegas Summer Show and may not register on-site without approval. Please email PR (PR@CannaOne.com) for approval. If your application or credentials are incomplete this will affect the timing of your approval.
  • Social media influencers: All social media influencers must be pre-approved prior to the 2024 Las Vegas Summer Show and may not register on-site without approval. Please email PR (PR@CannaOne.com) for approval.
  • News websites/Non-Blog websites: A link to an existing site with natural products-relevant editorial content or links to bylined natural products-relevant articles.
  • Internet-only Broadcasts: Links to recent (within last 3 months) natural products-relevant programming.

Press & Media Registration FAQs

CannaOne reserves the right to refuse media passes during pre-registration as well as on-site media registration. Please be advised that media passes are limited in number and are reserved for commercial news outlets. In addition, media credentials can be revoked if an individual abuses the privilege or obtains credentials under false pretenses. Misconduct or misrepresentation of position and/or publication/news organization will bar you and your organization from all future CannaOne events. If it is determined that the principal purpose for attending CannaOne is, in our judgment, for reasons other than covering it as working news media, you will be removed from the event. The following titles that are not eligible for complimentary media access include but are not limited to: account manager, account executive, general management, marketing and communications, public relations, and sales-related titles. Individuals and representatives of companies who self-publish company e-newsletter, publication or web site are not eligible. A history of being registered at previous CannaOne events does not guarantee approval or waive the accreditation requirement.

Applicants for media registration must show employment by or assignment for a publication or program that is previously established, independent and regularly updated with original industry-related news. Media Accreditation is reserved for working members of the press only. This includes editors, reporters, producers, camera crews, still photographers and industry analysts. Press Registration applies to editors, writers, and print or broadcast reporters at the discretion of the convention organizers’ media relations staff. Review the News Media Audio / Visual Policy for important information regarding photography, audio and video taken at the Show.

All press registration requests will be evaluated and you will be sent a confirmation that your media credentials have been granted or that more information is needed for verification.

YouTube, Facebook, Twitter sites, personal blogs, forums and users groups. Photographers and videographers commissioned by exhibitors. General managers, account representatives, sales executives, PR/marketing and non-editorial media professionals.

Anyone whose principal purpose for attending CannaOne is, in our judgment, for reasons other than covering it as working news media

PRINT MEDIA CRITERIA: Copy of a business card or current masthead clearly displaying name and editorial title or an industry-related article written within the last six months.

ONLINE MEDIA CRITERIA: To qualify as online media, you must represent a commercial website that posts original industry related content at least once per month. The website must extend beyond forums, personal diaries, personal analysis, or opinion.

ANALYSTS CRITERIA: Writers from internationally recognized market research or financial institutions who consistently write for regularly published newsletters and/or reports must provide a business card and industry-related reports published within the past six months that clearly display authorship.

BROADCAST MEDIA: Copy of your business card clearly displaying your name and editorial/production title or provide access to any media stories produced or reported upon within the last six months.

BLOGGERS: Must cover the industry on a regular basis and must have written on the relevant market segments within three months of requesting a media badge. Blogs must contain current dated content and news above and beyond links, forums, self-promotion, and reader contributions.

FREELANCE WRITERS: Freelance writers must provide an article published within the past six months and must be on assignment from a news outlet to cover the event.

STAFF PHOTOGRAPHERS AND PHOTO AGENCIES: Submit a letter from an editorial contact at the publication indicating that you are covering the seminar and exhibition for that publication.

ASSOCIATION PUBLICATION: Reporters from internationally recognized magazines, newspapers or newsletters produced by industry associations must provide articles published within the past six months. Newsletters must have a registered subscriber base of at least 500.

Media badges allow access to all conference sessions, the Show Floor, special events, CannaOne’s personal planning tool and a full-service newsroom. The CannaOne Newsroom includes Wi-Fi, computers, printers, space to conduct interviews, workspaces, food and beverage.

CannaOne only shares contact information with Exhibitors and Sponsors if registrant opts-in during the registration process.
